Delicious Library 3.0

Dad, here's your killer application:

Delicious Library offers several ways to enter information about your books, CDs and DVDs into your library, but the slickest method is iSight barcode scanning. Just pick up a book and scan its UPC barcode label with your iSight camera; Library uses image recognition to decode the video at a full 30 fps and then grabs the item's title, picture, and lots of additional detailed information from Amazon.com. The book then appears on your shelf.

The new "shelf view" is one of the most obvious changes to the interface, which emulates the experience of browsing through your bookshelf, allowing you to view the covers of all your books, movies, video games and music on realistic-looking wood shelves just as you would at a movie or book store. In addition, the "Incoming" shelf, where you add media to your library, is patterned after a warehouse with metal shelving units and cardboard boxes.
